La propuesta parte de cuatro premisas fundamentales: por un lado (1)la mejor optimización del espacio disponible y (2) la más alta polivalencia en su uso en el siempre complicado ajuste que supone intervenir en un espacio previo, un local a priori no pensado para el programa al que se piensa destinar con posterioridad; y, por otro, (3)la adecuación del programa de necesidades a una imagen atractiva, contemporánea y que no renuncie a una condición ‘doméstica’, es decir de calidez y confort de todos los espacios, más aún si pensamos en los destinatarios finales del Centro: gente mayor. Y por último (4) la racionalidad de costos y sistemas constructivos.
The proposal is based on four fundamental premises: (1) the optimization of the available space and (2) the highest versatility in its use taking to account that always it is difficult to intervene in a existing space, thought for other uses than the ones that will be allocated, and (3) the adequacy of the program to an appealing contemporary image, without resigning to a “domestic” condition, especially if we think of the final users of the Centre: the elderly. And finally (4) the rationallity of costs and building systems.
